Our 40th Year

Born in 1971, graduated in 1989, turn 40 in 2011! Back in 1989, 40 seems SOOOOO old. Today, we still feel so young. Funny how one's perception changes over time. We have decided to embrace 40 and take some time this year to enjoy life, enjoy spending time together and maybe learn a thing or two along the way. Every month we will do something that is new to one or both of us. Besides getting used to saying 40, our biggest adventure this year will be Tri for the Cure in August. Our first triathalon at 40 seems a bit crazy but we're in! Wish us luck and remind us to train. Tera definitely has a leg up since she's been working out. Corrie hasn't worked out since....well perhaps before Carter was born :-0 Anyhow, if you are reading this we have invited you along with us on our journey. Hopefully you will be able to join us on and excursion or two. We will keep you posted on our year and thanks for following along.
Cheers

Tri For the Cure

We did it! By far the most difficult of our 40 year adventures, the Tri for the Cure. I wrote this blog entry many times over in my head during my 12 mile bike ride and swore I would never do it again. Weeks later, I can't remember what I wanted to say and I am considering doing it again. I don't believe that Tera agrees with the later :-) It was a beautiful day and there was a sense of accomplishment when we finished. Tera started the day with a swim, I biked and we both walked/briefly ran. Our goal was to not finished last and we were successful. Considering neither one of us had done any training so to speak of, our 2 hour and 28 minute time was something we were proud of. Thanks to all who supported us in this endeavor! We started the 5k jogging. That didn't last long!

There were 6 of us that participated. Shushawn, the impetuous for this endeavor is second from the left. Thanks Shoosh!

Celebrating at the end! There was music, food, and BEER!!!
