Our 40th Year

Born in 1971, graduated in 1989, turn 40 in 2011! Back in 1989, 40 seems SOOOOO old. Today, we still feel so young. Funny how one's perception changes over time. We have decided to embrace 40 and take some time this year to enjoy life, enjoy spending time together and maybe learn a thing or two along the way. Every month we will do something that is new to one or both of us. Besides getting used to saying 40, our biggest adventure this year will be Tri for the Cure in August. Our first triathalon at 40 seems a bit crazy but we're in! Wish us luck and remind us to train. Tera definitely has a leg up since she's been working out. Corrie hasn't worked out since....well perhaps before Carter was born :-0 Anyhow, if you are reading this we have invited you along with us on our journey. Hopefully you will be able to join us on and excursion or two. We will keep you posted on our year and thanks for following along.
Cheers
Corrie and Tera

Viva Las Vegas!

January took us to Vegas for a girls only weekend. Yes, we've both been to Vegas, we've even been together, but it was our first "Girls Only" trip. Our friends Shushawn and Tina joined us on this outing. It was quite fun and our 40th year is off to a great start!

On the plane, headed to Vegas!

Across the street from our hotel, Mandalay Bay.

We met these interesting "networking" guys who randomly just talk to anyone and everyone as if you are a long lost friend. It took Tera and I both a minute or two to realize that neither one of us knew the person talking to us.
This photo may very well end up on his blog as well.

Dinner, drinks and blues at B.B. Kings. Shushawn joins us in this photo. All dressed up for a night on the town.

And drinks before we head out. Tina is with us in this picture.
At "Mix" a very swanky, 5 star dinner with a super expensive price tag.
What the heck, we're celebrating right?
Our waiter, who was overly chatty, sang us a rather poor but funny rendition of Happy Birthday.
On the top floor of the Mandalay Bay
Bloody Mary's at noon....life is good!
Italy in Vegas. We all threw in coins so that we will hopefully return next year.
What's a trip to Vegas without a cheesy Elvis impersonator???
